We believe that SPR-Imaging holds a great potential in numerous applications. However, at present, its use is primarily limited to the field of biological research. This creates a bit of a chicken-and-egg situation: manufacturers produce instruments that are specialized for biological applications because SPR is only used in this field, and scientists only use SPR for biological applications because there are only devices available for this purpose. Our goal is to unleash the full potential of SPR-Imaging by making it available for every application.
We have designed an SPR instrument with modular components that allows scientists to customize and upgrade their instruments according to their specific research needs. This enhances flexibility and adaptability, enabling researchers to tailor experiments and explore diverse fields more effectively. The implementation of an open architecture approach in the SPR instrument design enables researchers to modify and enhance their instruments with third-party components or software. This fosters innovation and collaboration within the scientific community, accelerates technological advancements, and improves instrument capabilities.
